The Liverpool Immunisation Team has been named “Team of the Month” for August 2025 in recognition of their outstanding commitment to public health. Demonstrating remarkable resilience and passion, the team responded swiftly to public health challenges, including Hepatitis A outbreaks and a recent rise in measles cases. Their proactive approach extended beyond clinical duties, supporting primary immunisation initiatives in over 50 primary schools—often making multiple visits to ensure children received vital vaccinations. Team members also volunteered for additional clinics, including out-of-hours sessions, to reach more families.
The team’s dedication to raising awareness was evident through media engagement, including local radio interviews and a feature on Sky News, all aimed at educating the public and promoting the importance of vaccinations. Their flexibility, teamwork, and tireless advocacy make them truly deserving of this recognition.
