Our Mental Health Support Teams in Schools have been shortlisted for the Reducing Inequalities and Improving Outcomes for Children and Young People at the 2025 HSJ Awards. This recognition highlights the exceptional work and innovation demonstrated by the teams and a testament to our dedication to driving healthcare excellence.
The teams in schools have significant impact on children across Knowsley, Halton, St Helens and Warrington by improving emotional wellbeing and mental health. Their innovative collaborative working with schools and families ensures early intervention, promote resilience and reduces the stigma of asking for help.
Lisa Simpson, Clinical Service Manager said:
“We are honoured to be shortlisted for the HSJ Award. This is a proud moment for our teams, their hard work and passion for improving healthcare have been extraordinary. To be recognised among so many outstanding initiatives is already a win in itself. Regardless of the outcome, we’re thrilled to be able to share our journey and learning with others and to celebrate what’s possible when we come together to deliver better care.”
