Our 1st Trust Wide Work Experience HealthCare Academy week took place from 16 October to 20 October with year 13 students from Liverpool Life Sciences UTC.
The week was a huge success thanks to our staff who contributed sessions across the packed timetable of activities during the week, which was coordinated by Karen Elliott and Cheryl Gilland from the Apprenticeship Team.
The students had the opportunity to hear from and take part in practical sessions with staff from: Clinical Skills Team, Pharmacy, Secure Care Division, CYP, Mental Health Care division, Health and Wellbeing, Finance, AHP colleagues and Life Rooms.
The students were truly inspired by the sessions and were grateful for the opportunity to join the academy week, gaining new insights into what it is like to work in the NHS and gaining a better understanding of the skills and qualities needed to work in health.
We will be rolling out further academies in the New Year, if you would like further information about how to get involved, please contact us at talentforcare
