A generator test will take place on Wednesday, 8 October starting at 8.30am where there will be a 30 second gap in power and ending at 10.30 with another gap of up to 30 seconds in power. Details below:

Start Time 8.30am (transfer to generator supply – up to 30 second gap in power):
End Time 10.30am (transfer back to mains supply – up to 30 second gap in power):
Site(s): Knowsley Resource & Recovery site affecting ALL wards and departments
This means there will be an up to 30 second gap in electrical power at this time while the generator powers up and takes the electrical load.
Action you must take:
- Ensure your team(s) are aware of this test.
- In advance of the test, please power down any equipment sensitive to abrupt loss of electricity.
- In line with your business continuity plan, please check your critical equipment is working after the brief gap in electrical power.
- Please ensure you have a copy of your business continuity plan to hand in the event of any unexpected disruption.
