Today marks the final day of Beatrice Fraenkel's 14 year term as chairman of the Trust, before she is succeeded by Rosie Cooper as the new chair.
We are awaiting confirmation of when Rosie will start her new role, so Gerry O'Keefe will take over as acting chair until that process is concluded. More information about when Rosie is due to take over will be provided in due course.
During Beatrice's time as chairman, she has overseen Mersey Care's expansion into the organisation it is today. Over that period, Mersey Care has become a Foundation Trust, acquired the former Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Southport and Formby Community services, Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust and North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
We've also expanded and improved our estate with Beatrice establishing a design board to guide us through projects that led to the building of Clock View, Rowan View, Hartley Hospital, Leigh Moss and across our Life Rooms sites at Walton, Southport and Bootle.
