Creating Careers Live is a result of our ongoing commitment to keep tackling barriers to Under 18/16 work experience opportunities. We have collaborated with NHSE, Liverpool City Region Careers Hub and all Liverpool City Region NHS Trusts, Primary Care Training Hub and Social Care providers to stage a five day programme, hosted at Liverpool Hope University.
Amanda Oats, Chief People Officer and Culture Officer/Deputy CEO (non-clinical) opened the first healthcare collaborative experience of the workplace programme for the Liverpool City Region and set the scene for the week, promoting the ethos of care values and the NHS Constitutional Values. The NHSE project Team will track the students’ destinations over the next two years.
The “experience of the workplace” week covered 10 workforce departments: Nursing, Allied Health Professions, Ambulance Service , Maternity, Pharmacy, Social Care, Mental Health and Psychological Professions, Cancer Workforce, Healthcare Science, Clinical Skills, Primary Care, Data, Digital, Procurement and Finance.
