Our Restorative Just and Learning Culture was recognised this week in the prestigious national Business Culture Awards. Against stiff competition from Westminster City Council and the Ministry of Defence, our Respect and Civility work achieved the best Public/Not for Profit Organisation Award 2020. Judges described it as “the standout entry.” That team also received an additional gong - the ceremony’s Special Bronze Award from more than twenty categories. Executive Director Amanda Oates said she was proud of our “amazing achievements in public and private sector awards categories”. Group members Health and Wellbeing Manager Ben Towell, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Deputy Medical Director Dr John Crosby and Bernie Rochford MBE, our Corporate Governance Senior Associate and Freedom to Speak Up Guardian, attended in person to collect the award on behalf of HR Strategic Lead Lois Newitt and the whole group.
80.82% of Mersey Care staff have now completed the Respect and Civility Group’s eLearning module. You can take this training here. Module four features live-action examples of experiences of poor behaviour, as enacted by our budding actors at the Life Rooms.
