Time is running out to sign up for our charity abseil, and we still need teams from across the Trust to get involved!
This is your chance to abseil down Liverpool’s iconic cathedral, enjoy stunning city views, and support our charity in making a real difference to mental health and community services.
It’s a fantastic experience, and last year’s participants highly recommend it!
Clinical Team Manager, Zoe Manley, who took part in our 2024 event said:
“It was a great day, there was music and food and a lovely uplifting spirit around the event. I was really excited to do the abseil I’m luckily not afraid of heights so just took in the views on the way down! I wanted to support the charity as I’m passionate about the Zero Suicide perfect care goal. I’ve also seen some of the staff wellbeing initiatives that have been funded through the charity which are great. I’m sent my team on the Knowsley Safari wellbeing day in October -- so it was my way of paying it back.”
Paul Kerrigan, a Primary Care Mental Health Nurse, wanted to undertake his first ever abseil for Mersey Cares despite sharing that heights are not one of his stronger points.
“The charity is in relevant infancy at the moment, so I wanted to support raising its profile to the wider Trust and public, as well as supporting its various worthwhile causes. The day very much had a community vibe about and was conducted very well, with plenty of support and professionalism from the instructors,” he said.
* This challenge is offered for a subsidised cost of just £30 deposit (per person) at the time of registration to secure your place.
