“A number of us aspire to be just like him”

While a colleague was away Phil from our Autism team contacted all their clients to check in and make sure they had no urgent support needs. One lady was due to go into hospital for an operation, so Phil went to see her and helped her complete a hospital passport which explained her diagnosis and her reasonable adjustment needs while an inpatient. He even called her again following the operation to see how she was. She said:

‘Everything went well from start to finish, thank you for helping me to make it better, thank you’.

Gemma, Phil’s manager said: “This just shows how supportive the team are, Phil goes above and beyond all the time to support colleagues and service users, stepping in to help, no questions asked”.

Nicola, Clinical Services Manager said: “This demonstrates what I already know about Phil, he is such a valued member of the team and a number of us aspire to be just like him. He always put patients first above everything else and is a credit to our service”.
