Mersey Care and Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust have a long and successful history of working together to improve care for our communities including in perinatal mental health, secure and specialist services, rehabilitation, crisis pathways and support for people with complex needs.
Building upon the strong progress already made, both Trust Boards have recently agreed to renew our focus and enrich our partnership, recognising the real benefits this collaborative approach is already delivering for our staff, service users, patients, and carers.
Recent joint work has highlighted what we can achieve when we act together - from improving access and experience for new mothers and families, to strengthening urgent and emergency mental health support, to aligning pathways for children and young people who need consistent, timely help.
Chris Lyons, Director of Strategic Programmes will take on the role of Joint Programme Director for this work, helping to make sure that our collective efforts remain focused, well supported and aligned to the areas were working together will make the biggest difference.
These refreshed arrangements will help us build on the strong foundations already in place and deliver even better, more consistent and equitable care for the communities we serve.
