On 29 July, between 11am to 2.30pm, there will be road closures in Liverpool due to Liverpool Pride.

The below roads will be closed.

  • St George’s Plateau
  • Lime Street
  • William Brown Street
  • Queen Square Bus Street
  • St Johns Lane
  • Whitechapel Lord Street
  • Castle Street
  • Cook Street
  • Victoria Street
  • Stanley Street
  • Old Haymarket
  • Strand Crossing
  • Water Street
  • Canada Boulevard.

It has been advised that roads adjoining these streets will likely be affected by queueing traffic during the closure and a short time after the closure is lifted.

Parking Bays on Water Street (waterfront side between Cunard and Liver Buildings) have been suspended for the duration of this period.

A closure will be in place only at the junction of Water Street and Canada Boulevard on Saturday 29 July from approximately 11am until 2.30pm to allow safe access and egress to the event site for pedestrians during the event.

The Queensway Tunnel Strand Exit will be closed to traffic between 12.30pm and 3pm to limit congestion on the strand.

The Brunswick Street, Georges Dock Way and Mann Island one way loop will not be affected by road closures, however, between the times of 12.30pm and 2.30pm, there may be delays due to closures on the strand.

LCR Pride Foundation’s traffic managers will carry out controlled releases of traffic during this time, it is advised to avoid travel during these times wherever possible.
