Celebrating National Kindness Day – Together we make a difference
Today, on National Kindness Day (13 November) we’re celebrating the incredible kindness shown by our staff and supporters. Thanks to your generosity and dedication to raising funds for our charity, Mersey Cares has been able to fund projects that go beyond NHS budgets—bringing comfort, hope, and wellbeing to patients, service users, and staff across Cheshire and Merseyside.
We’re proud to share our Impact Report 2024–25, showcasing the initiatives that have been made possible and the difference they’re making every day.
Thanks to your support in the last 12 months, we have:
- Transformed hospital gardens into peaceful retreats
- Funded bereavement resources to comfort families
- Supported confidence-building cooking courses
- Provided festive gifts for children and young people
- Funded suicide awareness and prevention training with the Zero Suicide Alliance including our latest for healthcare staff.
- Delivered innovative wellbeing initiatives for staff
We’ve also supported dementia care, carers, research to improve care coordination, and wellbeing walks for new mums.
Why your support matters
Every donation helps make these projects possible. Your kindness ensures we can continue to fund initiatives that truly impact lives—projects that NHS budgets alone can’t cover.
