Ambulance service staff from across Cheshire and Merseyside will strike on Friday, 10 February between 7am and 7pm.
Our clinical cell will be operational between 7am and 7pm for advice on managing our patients during the period of NWAS strike action. The escalation flowchart and supporting information has been updated, and is available on YourSpace, to help guide and support you through the process. Our guidance around inpatient falls prevention is here.
Mersey Care GMB members
Our GMB colleagues have formally confirmed that Mersey Care members will take strike action on Monday ,13 February between 00.01 and 23.59 hours. We have confirmation of the agreed derogations for 13 February as follows:
- Night shifts on 12 into 13 and 13 into 14 February for the Whalley site, Rowan View, Clock View and Windsor House
- Day shifts on 13 February at Clock View, Whalley site and Windsor House.
GMB members can still choose to take industrial action. Those on the picket line will understand that some colleagues need to work as normal and in doing so are supporting an effective strike. There are no issues with any colleague crossing a picket line if they are going into their workplace to provide essential patient care.
We understand that picket lines will be in place at the Whalley and Clock View Hospital sites. Our FAQs are available on YourSpace.
Thank you for your continued support, professionalism, and commitment to patient care.
