The Government has accepted the recommendations of the NHS Pay Review Body, and agreed a 3% uplift which will be backdated to 1 April 2021 for the following terms and conditions:
- Agenda for Change
- Medical and Dental
- Specialty Doctors and Associate Specialists (2008 and other closed grades)
Other staff groups already have multiple year pay deals in place.
Amendments to the payroll system will take place in September for payment of arrears backdated to April 2021.

- Details of the 2021/22 pay scales
- An updated Annex 2 of the NHS terms and conditions of service handbook.
Details of the pay award for Medical and Dental staff under the remit of the Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration Body (DDRB) will be released in due course. Current information is available from the latest national update.
