Steve Tolan, Interim Deputy Chief Allied Health Professions Officer in NHS England visited the Trust on 8 May.
In the morning Steve joined the Cheshire and Merseyside Chief Allied Health Professions meeting hosted at V7 and chaired by Fran Cairns, Deputy Director of Therapies, Psychological and Allied Health Professionals. In the afternoon, Steve met with a number of allied health professionals and nurses from across the Trust with key discussions focusing on quality and safety and how this supports the accountability and governance of the Allied Health Professions workforce.
Steve heard good practice from our leads and was impressed with the work we are doing to improve patient care, patient safety and patient experience, workforce developments and quality improvement. Steve also met with Trish Bennett, our Chief Nurse, and shared his appreciation of the visit to the Trust and thanks to all those involved.
