We have retained the NAVAJO Merseyside, Cheshire and Manchester LGBTIQA+ Charter Mark which was presented to the Trust during the annual NAVAJO awards ceremony, at the City of Liverpool College on 3 October 2024.  This accredits the organisation from 31 October 2024 to 1 November 2026 as a full partner and charter mark holder.

The NAVAJO charter mark is an equality framework sponsored by In-Trust Merseyside and supported by the LGBTIQA+ Community networks across Cheshire, Wirral and Merseyside. The charter mark identifies that the holder demonstrates good practice, commitment and knowledge of the specific needs, issues and barriers facing LGBTIQA+ people in Cheshire, Merseyside and Manchester regions. It is also an assessment under the new EDIIE framework – Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Intersectionality and Equity, which was launched by NAVAJO in October 2024.  So, the charter mark goes beyond gender variance and sexual orientation, and covers all the protected characteristics, as well assurance of meeting duties under the Equality Act (2010) and Human Rights Act (1998).
