MIAA Fraud Spotlight on Fake Medicines Sold Online

Mersey Internal Audit Agency has published an article Fraud Spotlight highlighting some of the concerns around people buying medicines online. It is important for people to be aware of the risks and dangers, and in turn to spread the word to raise awareness and help to prevent more people falling victim. Protect yourself and your family, always be sure you can trust who you’re dealing with online, know what you’re buying, and that it is safe for you to use.

MIAA Recent Fraud Cases Article

Mersey Internal Audit Agency has published its latest article highlighting some recent successful NHS fraud prosecution cases.  The cases featured in this article include a jailed fraudster who used fake prescriptions to get £40,000 of drugs and a Nurse convicted of fraud after earning almost £9,000 for shifts she didn’t work.  The Trust is committed to pursuing all available sanctions and redress against those found to have committed fraud against it, including criminal prosecution, disciplinary action, regulatory body sanction (where applicable) and financial recovery of monies lost.
