Congratulations to Jo Welsh, Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) who has raised an incredible amount of money for Alzheimer's Research UK, by cycling 70 miles from Blackpool tower to the Liverpool Liver Buildings in a single day on Saturday, 14 June.
The wind was up to 35 miles per hour during the ride but Jo and the group managed, finishing at the Liver buildings at 7:45pm. As a group they have managed to raise £13,429 for this years' cycle, and have raised a grand total of £89,228.58 for Alzheimer's Research over the last 11 years, and are aiming to get to £100,000.
Jo and her friends are not atheletes, but just a wonderful group of people who care. Jo says “With the help and support of every individual who participates and through the generosity of every person, group and company who kindly donate, we hope to contribute to the continued efforts of Alzheimer’s Research UK to find a way of beating this awful disease. Thank you everyone for your support!"
Well done Jo, if you would like to donate you can do so here.
