As we mark the International Day of Charity - a day that highlights the importance of giving back and the significant impact charities can make can make - we’re thrilled to spotlight some incredible fundraising efforts happening this weekend for Mersey Cares! Rosie Kaur, our Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Physical Health, is embarking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, where she’ll be climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales from Friday to Sunday. Meanwhile in Liverpool, a team of nine brave Mersey Care staff, carers, and volunteers will be abseiling down the iconic Liverpool Cathedral.
We wish all our fundraisers the best of luck — and thank you for your dedication!

Delivering impact - supporting staff wellbeing at Knowsley Safari Park
We’re thrilled to showcase the impact of our Wellbeing Through Wildlife sessions at Knowsley Safari Park, funded by our Mersey Cares Charity. These half-day sessions, filled with mindfulness and nature-based activities, are just one of the many incredible wellbeing initiatives the charity has been able to fund in recent months—with more exciting projects on the way! Looking ahead, the charity aims to fund more wellbeing activities to benefit even more staff, with a dedicated Workplace Wellbeing Fund already in place to support these efforts.
