Cadent will be working on the gas mains on East Side, St Helens from 8 August and due to last for approximately 19 weeks . This work is part of a big investment programme to upgrade their older gas mains. This will help to keep homes and businesses warm with less impact on the environment - find out more on their website.
The work being done by Cadent is close to St Helen’s hospital Marshalls Cross Road, St. Helens WA9 3DA.
Please be advised there may be possible delays and traffic disruption.
There will be a Road Closure on Sutton Road at the junction of Jackson Street and Gaskell Street from 5 September until 3 October and diversions will be signposted.
- Cadent do not anticipate affecting any gas supplies but if this changes, they will be liaising with these customers independently to discuss the work.
- There will be temporary two-way traffic lights that will move along Gaskell Street to the Junctions off Jackson Street and Sutton Road when the two-way lights will change to three-way lights.
- On Jackson Street, the rolling two-way lights will move to West Side. The two-way lights will change to three-way lights at the junction of Jackson Street and West Side.
- There is likely to be some disruption to heavy machinery and open excavations.
- Bus stops close to the work may be suspended.
- Cordant may impose on any on road parking.
