As many staff who work on the Maghull Health Park will be aware, over the past 2 years, Estates have been working on a project to upgrade the electrical Infrastructure across the whole site. This has involved several periods where the supply to the site has been interrupted and running off generators whilst we carry out the works.
The two year high voltage electrical infrastructure work has now completed, the worked included the replacement of aged cabling, switchgear and generators plus installing two additional generators for added resilience.
Estates have learnt many lessons during this period and are now working closely with EPRR to finalise a process for generator testing in the future.
During the delivery of the initial scheme, we identified additional aged switchgear that feeds the wider Maghull Campus and we are finalising plans to upgrade this, the work is forecast to take place in July 2023. Once a definitive date is set, we will engage with the affected services to identify and manage service level risks.
