EMIS and Safeguarding Training

On 1 April 2023 the Datix incident reporting system retired and was replaced by RADAR. This introduced a change in record keeping practice for those services where Datix had universally been used to record and report all matters relating to safeguarding.

New updates to the EMIS system allows “A universal process across all children and young people EMIS users (Org 20198) – to effectively capture and view safeguarding concern and activity to safeguard children and adults at risk”. Training on updates to the significant incident template and the new safeguarding concerns/other related pages of the EMIS records are being provided this month. Sessions are virtual and will demonstrate how to use the safeguarding aspects of the system most effectively. There’ll be an opportunity for questions and feedback.
