Two of Mersey Care’s Executive Board members have been awarded honorary fellowships of Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) as part of their bicentenary celebrations.

Chief Executive Prof Joe Rafferty CBE and Trish Bennett, Executive Director of Nursing and Operations and Deputy Chief Executive for Clinical Services, were among 10 fellows from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries who are regarded as “role models not only within LJMU but for the wider community, too.”

Among the other fellows to be given the honour were Nikita Parris, a member of England Lionesses UEFA Euro 2022 winners and a former alumni and Andy Cooke, HM Chief Inspector of Constabulary and HM Chief Inspector of Fire and Rescue Services. All 10 fellows will be presented with their awards at a formal ceremony at St George’s Hall, Liverpool on 8 November.
