We’re inviting you to attend a showcase event, where you’ll be involved in contributing to the development of a tool that will eventually impact all Trust services. It’s on 30 April 2024 at Everton Football Club. Laptops will be provided as well as food and refreshments - parking is also available.

Mersey Care was asked by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to develop a dashboard to support early identification of patient safety indicators on mental health wards. This was in response to a range of national reports that identified how data could support the safety and quality of the care we deliver. We’re thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Holmusk, we’ve developed a ‘proof of concept’ dashboard for use in inpatient settings. The project brings together a range of data sets from across the Trust, presented in an intuitive, intelligent dashboard to support clinical decision making. It includes an algorithm to help predict which wards are most likely to experience an increase of incidents, based on factors such as staff levels, patient complexity and admission velocity.

Our clinical colleagues will be invited to review the tool separately as we’re keen to engage on this as widely as possible to understand how the dashboard could be developed prior to live testing. Whilst the dashboard was commissioned for mental health wards, there’s potential for this tool to be developed across our other services, such as secure, learning disability and community.

Please register for the event via the prospectus in section 9, as we need to manage attendance and undertake personalised set up for access to the dashboard. There are three time slots available (please only book into one session).

  1. 9.30am to 11am (20 spaces)
  2. 11.30am to 1pm (20 spaces)
  3. 2pm to 3.30pm (20 spaces)

We look forward to meeting you and hearing your ideas! If you’d like further information, please contact Assistant Director of Strategic Programmes Adam.Drage@merseycare.nhs.uk
