Publish date: 7 March 2022
As you are aware, we are implementing weekly pay for bank workers as of 1 April 2022. To support this arrangement we have a transition plan throughout March 2022. The key dates are below, identifying when all bank shifts should be finalised by or where timesheets are still in use, when these need submitting by.
The timetable below highlights key dates for March 2022:
Hours worked |
Hours submitted to temporary staffing/finalised on system |
Hours will be paid |
Tuesday, 1 March – Sunday, 6 March |
Monday, 7 March at midday |
To be paid by 29 March |
Monday, 7 March – Sunday, 13 March |
Monday, 14 March at midday |
To be paid by 29 March |
Monday, 14 March – Sunday, 20 March |
Monday, 21 March at midday |
To be paid by 29 March |
Monday, 21 March – Sunday, 27 March |
Monday, 28 March at midday |
29 April 2022 (week 4 of weekly pay) |
Monday, 28 March – Thursday, 31 March |
Monday, 4 April at midday |
29 April 2022 (week 4 of weekly pay) |
As you will see from the above, the first three weeks of hours worked in March 2022 up to 20 March will be paid in March (around 29 March), a month earlier than usual. Hours worked from 21 March through to the end of March will be paid on 29 April 2022. The reason for this is due to the change in payroll processes and the need to move current bank workers who are on monthly pay to receive weekly pay.
Also can we ask attention is paid to the deadline time for submission. Throughout March this is midday, however from 1 April all shifts have to be finalised by 9am on a Monday.
Please adhere to these timescales as we’re unable to process advance payments. Also, we are unable to process more than one weeks hours as there will be no monthly pay run file for bank workers.
Finally, can you please ensure all hours are submitted and you are up to date as historical claims cannot be processes once monthly pay is switched off.
