On 14 October our Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) celebrated their annual AHPs Day to highlight their significant contribution to the delivery of care. The conference was opened by Fran Cairns, Deputy Director of Therapies, Psychological and Allied Health Professionals who thanked all of our AHPs for their unique contributions to patient care and hard work over the last year, reflecting on the collective achievements of our workforce.

This year’s national theme the three shifts within the 10 Year Health Plan: hospital to community, analogue to digital, and treatment to prevention which was our focus for the day and how AHPs are crucial in the delivery of this supported by our Trust strategic framework.

The day ended with recognition from Jenny Hurst, Chief Nurse, on the vital role AHPs play across our organisation and a message of kindness to each other.

Thank you again to all our amazing AHPs for everything you do!
