Influenza and other respiratory illnesses circulating in the community remain high, however vaccine uptake across the Trust has been disappointingly low this winter. This puts the health of our wider Mersey Care family, our patients and service users at risk.
Flu is highly contagious and doesn’t discriminate, so protect yourself, your loved ones and those you care for by getting vaccinated.
The flu vaccine takes approximately two weeks to provide the required immune response.
Don’t put this off any longer, prioritise your health, get vaccinated and protect yourself against flu.
- Over the last few years winter vaccines have prevented tens of thousands of hospital admissions and helped to save countless lives
- Last year’s flu vaccination programme prevented around 25,000 hospitalisations in England.
Drop-ins are welcome at our vaccination centre in Maghull Health Park or you can book an appointment here.
