The trust will soon introduce an information tool to support managers who have the responsibility of rostering across the Trust to better understand their rostering practices and the best way to roster staff. This tool is called ‘Ward Guardian’ and works with the current Health Roster system.

We intend to roll out the use of the rostering tool in June 2022. Training on this will take approximately one hour and will take place in late May 2022. You will receive further information on the rollout and training dates in the near future.

Ward Guardian will be rolled out across the Trust in phases and the first phase to go live will be inpatient wards within Local Division and the Integrated Community Nursing teams as listed below.

We are mindful that a number of roster managers are not fully confident in the use of the Health Roster system. Being able to use the system effectively and confidently is a pre-requisite for understanding the data which you will receive from Ward Guardian. Therefore, we have arranged all day Health Roster training sessions for all roster approvers before implementation of Ward Guardian.
