Tomorrow marks the 33rd anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, which may be an upsetting time for many of you or your colleagues.

Flags will be flown at half mast from civic buildings and bells will toll 97 times at 3.06pm – the moment the match was stopped - from the Town Hall to remember those who lost their lives on Saturday 15 April 1989.

The city will also stop for a minute’s silence at 3.06pm and the Town Hall will be lit red in the evening as mark of remembrance.

If you, or anyone you know, is struggling, Mersey Care has a range of self help guides, including advice on bereavement, anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress.

There is also an urgent help page on our website that gives information on our freephone telephone support, the Cheshire and Merseyside Resilience Hub and text services.
