Mersey Care has been sub-contracted to deliver specialist community services across West Lancashire in partnership with Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (MWL) following a competitive tendering process by NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board.

Work is continuing at the V7 building to replace the existing revolving reception door to improve accessibility and access, and to upgrade the door control system. The side door and rear car park doors remain operational.

From 1 April 2026, all new vacancy authorisation requests must include a job description and person specification on the new template.
