Halton CYPMHS are running the Santa Dash for Mersey Cares!

The Liverpool Santa Dash is fast approaching and we’re delighted that staff at Halton Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) are running to raise money for the service. The team supports children and young people with their emotional and mental health and wellbeing across Widnes and Runcorn.

Pioneering Inclusion in Finance and Procurement

Our Finance and Procurement Department have been shortlisted for the national HMFA Diversity and Inclusion Award for their work and partnering with the Down’s Syndrome Association’s WorkFit programme to create a supported employment opportunity. This initiative, unique among NHS finance teams, involved adapting recruitment, induction, and support processes to ensure success and staff wellbeing.

National Cyber Director visits award winning Cyber and IT Security Team
17 November 2025
On Friday 7 November 2025, NHS Informatics Merseyside’s Cyber and IT Security Team welcomed Phil Huggins, Director for Cyber Policy and National Chief Information Security Officer for Health and Care. The visit followed the team’s success earlier this year at the 2025 National Cyber Associates Network (CAN) Awards, where they were named Cyber Team of the Year. Phil’s visit provided an opportunity to celebrate these achievements and learn more about the team’s ongoing work to strengthen cyber resilience and IT security.
