Two years ago this month, our low secure learning disability unit opened to patients on the Maghull Health Park. And so to mark the occasion, Aspen Wood leads threw a party.

Timed to follow International Womens Day this month, female patients from across secure services came together for the first meeting of Women’s Forum. It’s a new innovation, part of our PROSPECT provider partnership, and a space intentionally designed to be co-produced, collaborative and service user led.

Mersey Care and Elysium Healthcare (at Arbury Court) are celebrating International Women’s Day with a new forum starting on 11 March. Women in secure services supported through PROSPECT have been creating posters to share their experiences and demonstrate what good care looks like.

Secure care student nursing associate Jonathan Richardson has been shortlisted for Student Nursing Associate of the Year at the 2026 Student Nursing Times Awards.

Works to reconfigure the library in building on Maghull Health Park will start during week beginning 9 March. This will take a number of weeks. The majority of the building will be completed out of hours but staff should be aware of the work affecting access to IT equipment there.
