The guidance on this page relates to Mid Mersey division staff who transferred from North West Boroughs Healthcare on 1 June 2021.

This guidance outlines the changes to policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) following the acquisition of North West Boroughs Healthcare on 1 June 2021.

It applies to Mid Mersey division staff only, as well as any former North West Boroughs staff working within corporate services.

Mid Mersey division SOPs

  • The content of former North West Boroughs SOPs remains unchanged and these have been adopted by Mersey Care for use by Mid Mersey division staff only.
  • Each SOP has been allocated a reference followed by a number to identify which borough/s it applies to and these are detailed in the table below:

Mid Mersey division only policies and procedures

  • There are a number of policies and procedures that have been carried over from North West Boroughs and the content of these is largely unchanged.
  • These policies and procedures have been carried over to Mersey Care and apply to the Mid Mersey division only, as well as corporate services staff who transferred from North West Boroughs.
  • Each Mid Mersey division policy and procedure has been allocated a reference, followed by a number, to identify whether it is a policy or a procedure, and these are detailed in the table below:

Trust wide policies

  • There is one set of Trust wide policies in place across Mersey Care. A number of former North West Boroughs policies have now been replaced by similar or equivalent Mersey Care policies and these policies now apply Trust wide to all staff
  • You can view a list that identifies the former North West Boroughs policies that have been retired and the Mersey Care equivalent that should now be used
  • Please note all retired North West Boroughs policies have been archived and are no longer accessible through the Trust intranet
