The Community Division PEFs will be holding pre-recruitment information sessions on MS Teams on the following dates for any staff in existing roles looking to complete their Specialist qualification in District Nursing, School Nursing or Health Visiting. The same session will run on the dates below and include information on the apprenticeship requirements and criteria.

Our Community Pain Management Service hosted a live Q&A session last week which was open for anyone to join.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Allen Crocker, many of you will remember Allen who was a consultant family therapist who worked in our CAMHS service for more than 25 years.

On 13 December, Antonia Bennett, care practitioner based in Norris Green District Nursing Team, detected a gas leak during a patient visit. Despite the patient’s reluctance to leave, Antonia ensured her safety and contacted the Emergency Gas Service. The leak, from a recent repair, could have led to an explosion. Thanks to Antonia’s quick action, the patient and surrounding area were safeguarded from a potential disaster.

Suzanne Powell, Community Matron at Vauxhall, is retiring after 50 year of service on 10 January 2025.
