Congratulations to Children in Care St Helens who have been accredited by the Trust as an Excelling team. The team were rated Good Plus in all 5 key questions in their last two consecutive QRVs on 16 July 2024 and 3 July 2025 and have subsequently been recognised as Excelling by Divisional and Trust leads.

There is a continuing intermittent issue with our Phadia analysers, which is affecting the dsDNA assay. We are also working to catch up on allergy testing. We’re pleased to confirm that we are expanding our service and are now delivering Autism Post Diagnosis Support Services across Halton and Warrington. A specialist support service for adults (18+) who have received an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) diagnosis.

Our gender identity clinic (Transcend) will be open to direct referrals from Monday 27 October 2025.
