Realignment of unplanned care services – Including Intermediate care bed based and UCR to urgent care place December 23.
Realignment of planned therapy services from ICBB to Community Therapy at the same time.
It was deemed to high risk to transfer the therapy element of UCR therapy caseload due to limited resource in operating a seven day a week service.
Community Therapy continued to support the seven day service with Band 4 support in the week plus all grades of staff at the weekends to mitigate the risks.
Increased resource within Intermediate care bed-based team means they are now in a position to fully align the therapy element of UCR within urgent care place.

A consultation paper has been shared with the joint collaboration meeting and approved by staff side on 3 September 2024
Further assurance sought with ICBB therapy team being able to support seven day a week service
Consultation launch planned.
