Alder Hey Briefing Emergency Department Waiting Area Relocation - 7 January 2025

Alder Hey is creating a new facility to better support non-emergency cases, including a Paediatric Admissions Unit, Same Day Emergency Centre, and Urgent Treatment Centre. This will improve care, reduce waiting times, and ease staff pressure. The ED waiting room will temporarily move to Radiology on 7 January 2025 to enable construction.

New GP Connect module now available
20 December 2024
GP Connect is integrated with all major GP software providers. It routes requests to the GP system, based on the patient's registered GP. A link from Rio to Primary Care records is being implemented using GP Connect, a national NHSE owned solution. This will enable clinical staff to access their patients’ primary care records in real time without needing to login to another system or search for their patient.
