Not all NHS staff can wear Christmas jumpers — so this year, we’re pulling on our festive socks instead! We’re delighted to launch our first ever Christmas Socks Day to raise funds and support our Mersey Care services and the people who rely on them — as well as you - our dedicated NHS teams whose care makes the world of difference every day.

The Liverpool Santa Dash is fast approaching and we’re delighted that staff at Halton Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) are running to raise money for the service. The team supports children and young people with their emotional and mental health and wellbeing across Widnes and Runcorn.

Our Finance and Procurement Department have been shortlisted for the national HMFA Diversity and Inclusion Award for their work and partnering with the Down’s Syndrome Association’s WorkFit programme to create a supported employment opportunity. This initiative, unique among NHS finance teams, involved adapting recruitment, induction, and support processes to ensure success and staff wellbeing.
