    Planting the seeds of recovery

    This week, our student nurses and occupational therapists for Early Intervention Team posed with flowers potted by the teams’ social gardening group. When an individual is dealing with psychosis, there can be a significant drop in a person’s occupational and executive functioning. It’s fundamental that functioning is encouraged and the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team are committed to keeping our patients engaging in fun and motivating activities to ensure mental health recovery.

    Hollins Park Summer Fair

    This week, Austen and Sheridan wards teamed up to host the Hollins Park Summer Fair. Stalls included cakes, games, mocktails, a tombola and crafts created by staff and service users which they were selling to raise money for the wards and to fund future activities.

    Community fundraising event this July

    17 June 2025

    Southport Trinity Cricket Club will be holding a community fundraising day on Sunday, 6 July to raise funds for Bebe’s Hive and Alder Hey Children’s charities. Starting at 12pm, there will be a sponsored cricket match, stalls, music, food and drink for a £5 entry fee.

    Picton Mental Health Team take Park run!

    Next Saturday, 28 June, Picton Mental health team with the Liverpool Irish Rovers will be taking over Park run. Team Picton will be on hand to help any staff or patients who are wary about joining, by offering a start line meet up, a walking/running partner and being your general cheerleader! No matter your level of fitness, all are welcome!
