The Liverpool Immunisation Team has been named “Team of the Month” for August 2025 in recognition of their outstanding commitment to public health. Demonstrating remarkable resilience and passion, the team responded swiftly to public health challenges, including Hepatitis A outbreaks and a recent rise in measles cases. Their proactive approach extended beyond clinical duties, supporting primary immunisation initiatives in over 50 primary schools—often making multiple visits to ensure children received vital vaccinations. Team members also volunteered for additional clinics, including out-of-hours sessions, to reach more families.

As we continue to navigate through one of the most financially challenging periods the NHS has faced, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your collective commitment, support and resilience in ensuring we continue to provide safe high quality care for our service users and patients.
