Flu cases in hospitals has jumped 41% in a week. The latest NHS figures show an average of 2,629 flu patients were in beds in England each day last week. While these infections can be a nasty inconvenience to most of us, they can be life threatening to others.

Earlier this year, Lisa Marshall, Mersey Care’s Operational Manager for Children and Young People (0-5), received a Chief Superintendent’s Commendation from Merseyside Police in recognition of the trust’s work developing a Safer Sleep initiative across Liverpool and Sefton and you can watch an interview with other partners here.

As we approach the end of a fantastic year of growth for the charity, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us.

The Life Rooms team at Ashworth Hospital has been engaging patients in the arts through two remarkable events: the unveiling of a mural in the Quad Garden and an inspiring Christmas Show.
