Victoria's challenge for Marie Curie

On 5 July 2025, Victoria Jones will be taking on an 11 mile trail challenge along Hadrian’s Wall, one of the most iconic landmarks in the UK to raise funds for Marie Curie. This is a huge personal milestone for Victoria marking one year since she had surgery to improve her health.

Professor honoured by Royal College of General Practitioners

Last week, Navneet Kapur, Professor of Psychiatry and Population Health at the University of Manchester and honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at Mersey Care was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners at a Ceremony in London in recognition of his outstanding contributions to general practice.

Don’t miss your Cervical screening
27 June 2025
Cervical screening is an important test offered to women and people with a cervix aged between 25 and 64. From 1 July, some women aged 25-49 will be invited for cervical screening every 5 years instead of 3. This change is based on strong evidence showing that people without HPV are at very low risk of cervical cancer.
