From the 1 June 2023, we will be introducing an elearning module Resuscitation Level 1 for all staff who currently do not have face to face Basic Life Support (BLS) or Immediate Life Support (Adults and Paeds) training mapped on their training matrix.
The elearning module is in accordance with the Core Skills Training Framework and ensures that staff are aware of how to recognise a cardiac arrest, summon assistance and commence chest compressions.
350 Resuscitation Level 1 will be required to be completed annually.
Note;- All staff who attend Breakaway training will receive face to face BLS within this training sessions and will be accredited the compliance.
If staff wish to attend a face-to-face BLS session rather than completing the elearning this can be booked via the Prospectus and attendance will be credited on their training matrix.
