This Mental Health Awareness Week we are encouraging you to look at small, meaningful actions for supporting good mental health in ourselves, our colleagues and our teams.

Many of us balance busy, demanding roles supporting the diverse needs our service users, teams and colleagues, alongside busy lives outside of work. When we’re focused on looking after others, it can be easy to ignore our own wellbeing and overlook the importance of maintaining our own mental health.

We want to remind you that maintaining your mental health matters and support is here when you need it:

MHFAiders are a point of contact if you, or someone you are concerned about, are experiencing poor mental health or emotional distress. They are not therapists or psychiatrists, but they can give you initial support and signpost you to appropriate help if required.

Your Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service is putting on a range of activities across the week to help you recharge, reconnect and feel better at work. Don’t forget our Wellbeing Programme offer is available throughout the year to help support our colleague community.

Visit the What’s On page to explore all the activities available throughout the week and over the month including guided mindfulness and physical activity sessions, mini health checks, and stress‑busting workshops.

Your Staff Wellbeing Hub also has a wide range of information and resources to support whole-person wellbeing.

Want more information or to request a visit from the team? Please email  wellbeinghub@merseycare.nhs.uk

As part of your wellbeing offer, the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service has commissioned the digital healthcare provider HealthHero to further support your wellbeing.
