Collectively you’ve walked an incredible 1,562,752 steps for Mersey Cares this week – that’s the equivalent of around 740 miles which would take you from Liverpool all the way to Munich in Germany.

A huge well done to all who have contributed to your team’s average totals this week.

Is there no stopping them? Team Coniston have done it again with an average 133,534 team steps logged! Once more Hartley Hoppers are their closest rivals (98,914) followed by Steps with the Workforce (94,326), Sole Mates (91,550) and Churchtown District Nurses (88,642).

Making up this week’s top 10 are walkers: Knock Knees and Bunions (82,300), Stepsils (76,393), Budget Burners (74,172),  Strut the Strategy (65,829) and Legs Miserables (63,251). Well done!

This means team Coniston win this week's prize of a tea and cake at Bents Garden Centre and a Liver Building tour.

While Coniston are seemingly quite unstoppable, we want to shout out to a few of our biggest movers and shakers this week.

Steps with the Workforce moved from fourteenth position to third, while Sole Mates climbed from twelve to fourth.

Phabulous Pharmacy Physical Health also rose eight places from twenty seventh to nineteenth – well done!

A final push for week four

Just a few days to go for that final push! Can anyone topple Coniston and be claim the week four top spot. Up for grabs this week is another gorgeous hamper courtesy of Mersey Hampers. It’s packed full of delicious locally-sourced goodies including biscuits, breakfast tea, jams, chutneys and more!

Next week we will also be announcing the overall winner (most average steps across the 31 days of May) who will win a team day out at Knowsley Safari Park for one of our Wellbeing Through Wildlife sessions.

The grand prize: Wellbeing Through Wildlife 

At the end of the challenge, the team with the highest total number of steps will win 12 places at our Wellbeing Through Wildlife experience at Knowsley Safari Park.  It’s a fantastic day out which offers staff and volunteers a chance to rejuvenate, connect with nature, and enjoy close-up wildlife encounters.
