A new system is being introduced for booking meeting rooms and clinical space across the Trust.
The new system is designed to give users an improved experience and a clearer view of what space is available. The purpose of this transition is to migrate the system to a newer version of SharePoint for IT security purposes.
Only Trust sites still on the old SharePoint 2010 booking system are affected. These are:
- Baird House
- Clock View
- Hartley Hospital
- Life Rooms Southport
- Life Rooms Walton
- Norris Green Admin Hub
- Norris Green Clinical Hub
- Rodney Street
- South Sefton Neighbourhood Centre
Sites will become bookable on the new system between Tuesday 17 and Monday 23 February 2026.
What’s new?
- Bookings can only be made up to three months in advance for meeting space and six months for clinic space to reduce the number of unused bookings.
- Recurring bookings are expected to be available from mid-April 2026. NHS Informatics Merseyside (IM) are currently developing this function for the new system.
What will happen to existing bookings?
- SharePoint 2010 calendars will be closed on Sunday, 1 March 2026. All existing room and clinic bookings have been transferred into the new system by IM up until 31 March 2026 for Meeting Rooms and 31 July 2026 for Clinical Meeting Rooms.
- Please note any of your bookings which may need to be rebooked on the new system for:
- Clinical Meeting Rooms: after 31 July 2026
- Meeting Rooms: after 31 March 2026
- Once sites are live on the new system, new links will be available on banners placed on the SharePoint 2010 calendars for each site. Staff will need to check all other room and clinic bookings are entered into the new system for their respective sites once they go live.

Staff should continue to use existing room and clinic booking links until they are redirected to the new system.
