PSYCHOTHERAPY BALINT GROUPS
Psychotherapy Balint Groups are run by Dr Mustafa Alachkar, Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Psychotherapist - Mustafa.Alahkar@merseycare.nhs.uk. They run weekly every Wednesday, 3.30 pm at the Brooker Centre, Halton Hospital, Hospital Way, Runcorn WA7 2DA (unless Dr Alachkar is unavailable due to annual leave). Current practice is that it is at least 25 sessions in the whole year and presentation of at least one case is required for assessment of CBDGA per six months, along with marked as satisfactory on all the CBDGA components, two of which are needed to move on to psychotherapy cases.
