Applicable to: Inpatient wards using Rio
Following the pilot of Rio eObservations, inpatient staff feedback has led to the development of a new Supportive eObservation app integrated with Rio. This app allows staff to record and view inpatient supportive observations on a mobile device at the patient’s side, providing alerts when observations are due and overdue.
Supportive eObservations is expected to deliver improved value to the front-line delivery of patient care, improve quality and safety and the quality and accuracy of clinical activity.
Access to eObs mobile devices will require staff to logon using their Mersey Care email address and computer password.
Action: All staff (substantive, bank and agency) who are required to complete Supportive Observations and work across the six pilot wards below must ensure they are able to logon onto a Trust computer before the go live dates stated. Password resets can be requested via IT Service Desk.
