The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for North West England between 8pm on Thursday 24 February and 9.30am on Friday 25 February 2022.
Further wintry showers are expected with snowfall mainly on hills which will lead to icy surfaces, perhaps making for difficult travel conditions tonight.
