We want to remind everyone about the importance of using and respecting work equipment, particularly items that have been provided to support colleagues to do their jobs safely and comfortably. Some equipment such as specialist chairs, screens, footrests, keyboards, mice or other adjustments may have been provided through HR27, Access to Work or reasonable adjustment arrangements. These items are often essential for colleagues to work safely, manage health conditions, or stay well at work.

If you need to use shared or flexible workspaces, please help us look after this equipment by:

  • Only using specialist equipment if it has been allocated to you
  • Not moving or borrowing equipment that belongs to someone else
  • Returning equipment to the correct workstation or storage area if it is shared
  • Restoring settings (such as chair height, screen position or monitor setup) after use
  • Reporting missing or damaged equipment so it can be sorted quickly.

Respecting each other’s equipment is a small but important way we support one another, promote inclusion, and make sure everyone can work safely and comfortably. If you’re unsure whether equipment is shared, or if you think you may need adjustments yourself, please speak with your manager or HR – support is always available.

Thank you for helping create a respectful, supportive and inclusive working environment for everyone.
